Trejo's Tacos

Coming Soon

Actor Danny Trejo (From Dusk Till Dawn, Machete) continues to expand his food empire by bringing his much-lauded Trejo’s Tacos to Halo. Praised by none other than the iconic Anthony Bourdain, who said simply, “It’s just really good,” Trejo’s Tacos has become a Los Angeles favorite, and now a Downtown taco staple. Trejo’s innovative and vegan-friendly menu of tacos, burritos, bowls, and more delights the taste buds using the freshest ingredients.

Originally a La Brea establishment, and now in several locations around the city, Trejo’s Tacos serves up the unconventional (think blackened salmon, young jackfruit, cauliflower, fried chicken) as well as a few classics (steak asada, beef barbacoa, carnitas). Start by tucking into chips and guacamole or street corn, and round out the meal with farmers’ market beans or Spanish rice.

An L.A. native, Trejo was born in Echo Park and raised in the San Fernando Valley, and has dedicated much of his career to giving back to the community. “Everything good that happened to me has happened as a direct result of helping someone else,” Trejo has said. From supporting local animal rescue organizations to serving as a drug counselor to donating free meals to frontline workers, Trejo puts his heart into everything he does—amply demonstrated at Trejo’s Tacos.

Whether it’s Taco Tuesday or any other day of week, Trejo’s Tacos at Halo will make the perfect spot for a casual bite.
